MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Children Foundation (ACF) on Sunday said no party has the right to use children for their political interest.
Reacting to Saturday’s evening Kabul blast that inflicted heavy casualties on school children, ACF officials expressed their concern over growing children casualties in violent incidents.
ACF Head Maryam Karimi condemned Kabul blast in strong terms and expressed her concerns over the loss of precious lives.
She said on average level five children lost lives daily during the on-going conflict.
Referring to yesterday’s Kabul blast,. she said no body has the right to use children as a tool for their political interest.
According to Karimi, attacks on school children were against all international laws and conventions and perpetrators behind the incident should be punished.
“Saturday attack on Sayyd-ul-Shohada High School was an attack against education and knowledge. Please don’t sacrifice children for your nefarious political designs.”
She asked government and the Taliban to bring an end to ongoing fighting and violence in the country.
