JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Intelligence operative have arrested a Pakistani Taliban suicide bomber in eastern Nangarhar province.
The provincial National Directorate of Security in a statement said the alleged bomber was captured before reaching his target.
Hasan-ul-Rahman was detained in limits of Jalalabad’s eight police district. The detainee was planning to carry out a suicide attack on security forces or in a crowded area.
According to the source, the detainee has confessed that he belongs to Karachi city of neighboring Pakistan and was recruited in Taliban ranks through a Madrasa in Karachi. He was later sent to Jalalabad city for a suicide attack.
The Taliban insurgents have not commented in this regard.
