KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Friday announced appointments of new police chiefs for three provinces.
Syed Miraj Sadaat, Saifullah and Mustafa have respectively been appointed as new police heads for western Herat, southeastern Khost and central Maidan Wardak provinces.
A statement from the ministry said Brig. Gen. Mohammad Salem had been appointed to a senior position and Gen. Mir Ahmad as advisor to MoI.
Similarly, Col. Ghulam Mohammad has been named as commander of the Special Units, Brig. Gen. Zalmay Mangal as MoI’s investigation chief and Sanayee Stanikzai as crime branch chief.
