Employment scheme Ez-kar lunched in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Employment programme Ez-Kar has kicked off in southern Kandahar province on Thursday through which 10,000 people will be able to get work opportunities.

Addressing a gathering in this regard Head of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) Shamim Katawazai said that Kandahar is one of the province hosting thousands of Internally Displace Persons (IDPs).

He said in order to generate jobs,the Ez-Kar programme is being launched. Under the scheme 670 million afs allocated for Kandahar.

Over 100 projects would be implemented under the scheme and around 10,000 people will get working opportunities, he added.

“Government is always under criticism over corruption, the best thing about this scheme is that people decide the project and people will implement the project,” he added.

Katawazi asked people to help government strengthen the system ensure peace and stability in the country and support security forces.

Public Partnership Operational Director Ahmadzi said that public partnership scheme was smoothly underway in Kandahar.

He recalled services being provided in the 12th Municipality District of Kandahar City and said there is no difference between Aino Mena and services provided in 12th Municipality District.
