Hayat pledges to improve Uruzgan security

TARINKOT (Pajhwok): Acting Interior Minister Hayatullah Hayat on Thursday said that current wave of insecurities was temporary and the Taliban will not be able to achieve their goals.

During his visit to Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, Hayat pledged not to allow deterioration of Uruzgan and other provinces security situation.

He said security forces will emerge victorious in the battle field despite recent Taliban advancement which he termed them as temporary.

For the improvement of Uruzgan security situation, he said, several plans were being chalked out and the implementation of these plans will help improve the security situation and suppress the Taliban.

He pledged to ensure deep reforms in police eliminate the culture of imaginary police and ensure timely supply of logistic and other equipment.

In a public gathering organized for Hayat, participants criticized that due to the lack of attention and negligence of security forces two districts felt to the Taliban in the past four days.

Tribal elder Malem Rahmatullah critisised that in districts police are not provided supplies and they died due to the lack of food.
