KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has held a meeting with Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns behind close door, a well-placed government source said on Friday.
The two and half hour meeting took place on Thursday in Washington, the source said.
Few persons two or three were present in the meeting between Ghani and Burns.
Important issues related to Afghanistan have been discussed during the meeting; more information about the meeting could not be disclosed.
Soon after arriving in Washington, President Ghani met US lawmakers and discussed Afghanistan and regional situation.
