KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior on Monday said that anti-crime police forces have captured a gang lord known as Hamid Ghancho in central Panjsher province.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) obtained by Pajhwok Afghan News states that the detainee is accused of multiple murders in different parts of Kabul, threating people to death and extorting shopkeepers in the second and fourth police districts of the capital.
During initial interrogations, Ghancho has confessed on multiple crimes as there is enough operative information about him available besides multiple claims from people on the criminal, the source said.
The statement said that the criminal was already under the police chase. A Kalashnikov was also seized from the detainee, the ministry said.
