Farah deputy police chief among 5 killed in Taliban attack

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Five security personnel, including deputy police chief of Haji Qadir Jan, was killed in militant attack in western Farah province, according to a well-placed source.

The source said the Taliban stormed security belt of Farah City from different sides that faced with strong resistance from security forces.

A security forces base in the northern side of the city also felt to the Taliban in the overnight clash in which security forces and the suffered casualties.

Meanwhile provincial council chief of Farah acknowledged the killing of Deputy Police Chief Haji Qadir Jan in the Taliban attack.

Police chief and army officials could not reached for comments regarding recent development.
