Daesh has no presence in Kunduz: Haroon

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban intelligence chief for northern Kunduz province rejected the presence of Daesh militants and said the security situation was stable.

Mawlavi Najibullah Haroon told reporters security situation in Kunduz was stable and there was no issue.

“Daesh was the project of previous government and eliminated after the fall of that government,” he said.

He added security situation with Tajikistan was stable and no one will be allowed to create problem.

He assured the level of drug sale and purchase in the province declined to zero and nobody could dare to do this business.

Earlier, Tajikistan government expressed concern over border security and stationed its troops on the border with Afghanistan.
