10 Afghans suffer casualties in Iranian forces’ firing

KABUL (Pajhwok): Four Afghans were killed and six others injured when Iranian forces opened fire on a vehicle carrying the victims in the neighboring country, sources said on Tuesday.

Habib-ur-RehmanIbrahimi, a freelance journalist and writer from Saidabad district of MaidanWardak province, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 10 young men from Saidabad district of the province traveled to Iran for work.

He said Iranian security forces opened fire on the car carrying Afghans, who were traveling from the Iranian city of Qom to the country’s capital, Tehran.

He said the incident happened about two weeks ago. Four of the 10 youth were killed and six others injured in the incident, he added.

Ibrahimi said one of the dead, Noor Hassan, a resident of Yarckhel village, was an agriculture student at Ghazni University and was engaged a month ago.

The second victim was Hamdullah, a resident of Mochian village, the third was Nik Mohammad, a resident of Hasilkhel village, and the fourth was Gul Mohammad, a resident of SadiqKhel village, he said.

He added the bodies of the victims were in Iran for 12 days before being taken to Syedabad district where they were buried.

He said six people wounded in the shooting by Iranian security personnel are still in a hospital in Iran.

Pajhwok shared this issue with the Afghan embassy in Iran and also with the Iranian embassy in Kabul, but none of them responded on the regard.
