Joint committee formed strengthen bilateral trade

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Pakistan agreed to form a joint committee which will ensure improvement in bilateral traded and public movement between the two countries, an official said on Friday.

Taliban Qatar Office Spokesperson Dr. Naeem on his twitter account wrote that Pakistani and Afghan sides talked refugees issues, public movement, trade and transit ties.

During the meeting with Pakistan foreign minister, Muttaqi stressed over strengthening economic ties,  regional connectivity  and Afghanistan’s key role in regional projects special after improved security in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Qureshi talked about free movement of trucks loaded with goods, free access to all port and provision of more facilities for passengers.

They also discussed increase in air traffic between the two countries, revival of Peshawar-Jalalabad bus service and other taking other steps which could benefit both the countries.

Qureshi also assured Afghan delegation about increased cooperation in technical education, increasing scholarships, provision of emergency medical support and rehabilitation of Afghanistan hospitals.

Both sides agreed formation of a joint committee for improved trade and people to people contact.
