NEILI (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested 11 individuals on suspicion of having links with the Islamic State (IS) in central Daikundi province.
Obaidullah Faizani, intelligence chief for Daikundi, told Pajhwok Afghan News forces under his command had arrested 11 suspects in Kajran, Ajristan and Gizab districts.
He said: “The suspects are under investigation to ascertain whether they have links with Daesh. We will share our findings with the media.”
Meanwhile, some media outlets reported three gunmen were killed and two civilians injured during an operation against IS hideouts in Kandahar province.
