Economic Commission decides on import of standard fuel

KABUL (Pajhwok): A meeting of the Economic Commission chaired by Mualvi Abdul Salam Hanifi, deputy prime minister, discussed the import of standard oil and gas from abroad and a shared market on the Afghan-Iranian border.

Inamullah Samangani, deputy government spokesman, on his Twitter account said that controlling the value of the afghani, surveying the railway from the border of Uzbekistan to Torkham and immediate imports of food were also discussed during the meeting.

He said that the meeting chaired by Mualvi Abdul Salam Hanafi was held on Wednesday evening which first heard reports of delegations previously appointed.

The meeting also talked about current state of the country’s economyand plans on the import of standard oil and gas from foreign countries, he added.

The plan for a common market on the Afghan-Iranian border, control of the value of the afghani, a survey of the railway project from the Uzbek border to Torkham, industrial parks and immediate import of food were other important issues discussed in the meeting, Samangani said.
