KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat says Uzbekistan has reduced electricity import to Afghanistan by 60 percent without coordination with the company, but the problem is expected to be addressed in a few days.
According to DABS, Uzbekistan has reduced electricity imports due to power shortages and technical issues.
“A technical issue happened in TailiMarjan Station of the country so that’s why the electricity imports to Afghanistan have been reduced,” the power utility added.
DABS said that Uzbek officials had assured them that the issue would be addressed in two to three days.
Following the reduction of power from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, electricity of 16 provinces has been disrupted and prolonged power outages continue.
