HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): An exhibition of artistic works was launched in cooperation with the Information and Culture Department of western Herat province on Monday, organizers said.
The exhibition included the display of 62 paintings in both classical and contemporary styles. The show is organized by local artists in the capital of Herat province.
RozitaMohammadi, an organizer of the exhibition, talking to media said that she had participated in the exhibition with 28 of her arts and that the aim of the exhibition was to motivate young people.
She said that if the government cooperated with them in future, they would be able to organize better and larger exhibitions even on nationwide level.
“We hope these exhibitions in Herat province will motivate youths for doing their artistic works with passion,” she said.
MawlanaNaeemulHaqHaqqani, information and culture director of Herat, welcomed the exhibition and called the youth and artists of Herat honor of the ancient province “Today’s youths have painted the beauties of our society with their art,” he said.
The government does not limit talents of people,rather, it supports the talents of the country’s youth in various fields, he said.
Haqqani said that several exhibitions have been set up in Herat province so far since the establishment of the new administration, which he added was a sign of support to the artists’ community.
The exhibition is open to visitors from 9am to 5pm every day in AlamaSalahuddinSaljoqi Hall in Herat city.
