GARDEZ (Pajhwok): The body of a former prosecutor has been found in the capital of southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Tuesday.
The prosecutor was kidnapped on Sunday and his body found on Monday evening, Director of information Khaliqyar Ahmadzai told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“Ismael Dildar was abducted from the city on Sunday and his corpse was found in Chona area,” the official said, adding personal enmity was behind the murder.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, according to Khaliqyar, who said Dildar had served as prosecutor in the previous government.
