MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A poet in northern Balkh province, who drives a rickshaw to earn livelihood, says he has published three poetry books and the fourth is ready for publish.

Azeemuddin Pashton Sapi during an exclusive interview told Pajhwok Afghan News that he did graduation in law and political science and was interested in poetry from childhood.

He said he still wrote poems and believed that it was a medium to convey message to society.

He has written on the backside of his Rickshaw: “Do you know me? I am Pashton Sapi, the author of three poetry books.”

He said the purpose of this message was to give youth hope and not let them down.

He believed that serving society begins from oneself, adding that he decided to drive Rickshaw to serve himself and his family.

Through his message, he wanted to let the government know that cadres still existed in the country and if the government provided them with work opportunities, they could serve the people and the country.

His first book — Zra Mai Pa Ta Sparam — published four years ago, his second poetry book — Ta Mai ZwandAe — published two years ago and his third book — Za Aw Ta–  published earlier this solar year.

His poetry involved emotions and idealism and said emotional poems earned him more fame.

“When people read message behind my Rickshaw they ask different questions and I tell them that I am not disappointed and want to show to the youth that they can serve the country in every condition.”

It is worth mentioning that besides Pashton, several other poets in the country spread the positive message among youth through their poems.
