CHAHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Deputy Governor of Central Parwan Province Mufti Mohammad Edrees Anwari has stressed over the responsible behavior and attitude by the journalist and urged them to disseminate accurate and authentic information to masses.

“Journalist need to investigate, search for accuracy and provide authentic information to the masses,” he said while addressing some local officials and journalist at Governor House.

He stressed journalists should ensure neutrality and report facts without attacking the privacy of an individuals.

Parwan Governor Chief of Staff Mawlavi Hidayatullah Badri during the meeting announced government support from journalist and termed them eyes and ears of society. He asked media outlets to disseminate their information in line with Sharia Law.

Abdul Ghafar Raufi, head of the Independent Journalist Association, said journalists were facing acute economic and financial problem they also don’t have access to information.

He asked local authorities to ensure the security of media outlets offices.
