KABUL (Pajhwok): The deputy head of the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Association (AIJA) has gone missing in central Kapisa province.
AIJA said on Monday: “Abdul Hanan Mohammadi’s family informed the association’s leadership of the journalist disappearing in Hisa-i-Awal district on Sunday afternoon. His cell number is not functional.”
In a statement, the association said efforts were ongoing to ascertain the whereabouts of Mohammadi.
Over the past three months, Mohammadi has been working with Pajhwok Afghan News as a provincial reporter.
