KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar on Tuesday traveled to the quake-hit provinces of Khost and Paktika, carrying 53 million afghanis with him.
“The Islamic Emirate stands by the affected people and supports them in order to rebuild their destroyed houses and to return their life back to normal,” a statement from his office said.
“Mullah Baradar took 53 million afghanis cash in order to spend the amount on creating shelter for the affected people.”
According to the statement, Mullah Baradar thanked all the Afghans, businessmen and donor organizations who aided the quake-hit people.
