PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The US ambassador to Pakistan has visited the Torkham crossing point on the Durand Line Landikotal and military facilities in Landikotal.
Donald Blome’s trip was confirmed by the US Embassy, which wrote on its Twitter handle that the ambassador visited Torkham on Wednesday to see this unique crossing point.
The ambassador was quoted as saying, “I learned a lot about the people-to-people & business connections throughout the region that are important to keeping commerce flowing.”
After landing at the Khyber Rifles helipad in Landikotal, the US diplomat drove to the tMichani check-post, where he was given a briefing on the current situation on the Durand Line.
Blome commended Pakistani officials for keeping the Durand Line open for passenger movement and goods transportation.e Hr
