KABUL (Pajhwok): Twenty-two people have been injured in a bomb blast in the Pul-i-Sokhta neighbourhood of Kabul, hospital sources said on Sunday.
The bombing took place at around 4:00pm on Saturday, the second in the nation’s capital in as many days.
According to Reuters Daesh militant group on its Telegram account claimed responsibility for the attack.
Roohullah, a shopkeeper in the area, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place at around 4:00 pm at a a public gathering.
A list of casualties released by Firdos Hospital showed 22 wounded individuals had been evacuated to the facility for medical treatment.
But Khalid Zadran, Kabul police spokesman, s acknowledged the blast had resulted in casualties. He, however, refused to confirm the list of the injured displayed by Firdos Hospital.
