Iran to help improve health services in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran promised cooperation with Afghanistan in improving health services and other sectors during an ongoing visit to the country by acting public health minister Dr. Qalandar Ebad, the Public Health Ministry said in a statement.

The statement said Dr. Ebad traveled to Iran with a delegation of health officials to seek Tehran’s cooperation in improving the health sector of Afghanistan.

The delegation will visit different health institutions of the host country during the visit, the statement added.

Dr. Ebad called capacity building and promotion of training programs crucial and asked for Iran’s cooperation in this regard.

The Iranian side promised to cooperate with the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health and added that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the two countries.
