KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul City Mayor Mawlavi Abdul Rashid has pledged Hindu and Sikh minorities full support in the return of their usurped lands, according to a statement on Sunday.
Some Hindu and Sikh residents during a meeting with Mawlavi Rashid asked for the government’s support in the recovery of their usurped lands, a statement from the Municipality said.
According to reports in the past Hindu and Sikh minorities had demanded authorities to free their lands.
After hearing their problems, the mayor said the Hindu and Sikh residents have equal rights as other civilians have and the government is committed to provide them the same facilities and they will have their own representative from their locality to share problems with the government.
The mayor added that the municipality and other officials are committed to address the problems of all the residents.
