SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A library has been opened in northern Jawzjan province where 300 youth could daily benefit from studying different books, an official said on Wednesday.
Information and Cultural Affairs Director Mawlavi Saifuddin Motasem said: “In order to promote the culture of study among youth a library has been established in the premises of the Information Department.”
He said over 20,000 different books are available in the library while daily 300 youth male and female could visit the library.
The library had been divided into two shifts, in the morning shifts boys will be able to visit and in the afternoon shift girls would come and study in the facility.
In addition to the library, a computer programming and English language course has been opened for girls and boys as well.
