MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and seven others wounded in different incidents in northern Faryab province, an official said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Hamidullah Butshikan said one person was killed as a vehicle veered off the road on the Maimana-Andkhoy highway in the morning.
Mohammad Fahim, a traffic official, said another vehicle veered off the road in the Telan area of Pashtunkot district on Wednesday. Five people were wounded in the accident.
He added two individuals were injured in a third traffic accident on the Almar-Qaisar highway late on Wednesday.
Separately, a civilian was stabbed to death in Garziwan district on Wednesday night.
The police spokesman identified the victim as Nizamuddin, who was killed in Ghalban area on Wednesday night.
He said the motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.
