Telecom minister talks internet issues with Kazakh diplomat

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Mawlawi Najibullah Haqqani has discussed the development of telecom services, capacity building of Afghan engineers and internet problems with Kazakhstan ambassador in Kabul.

Enayatullah Alokozai, a spokesman for the MoTIT, tweeted: “Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Kabul Bakhtiyar Sarsenbay called on telecom minister Mawlawi Najibullah Haqqani in his office and discussed with him the development of telecom services and addressing internet problems.”

The Kazakh ambassador said he would encourage reliable telecommunication companies of his country to share their experiences with Afghan engineers in the field of telecom.

The diplomat also called Afghanistan as safe and investable country in terms of security.

Mawlawi Haqqani called Afghanistan and Kazakhstan important countries in the region and said they had transaction with each other in many areas.

The statement added that the chief of Afghan Telecom Ali Ahmad Samand asked the visiting delegation to train Afghan engineers in FTTH or fiber to the home which was a vital and important project and share their experiences with them.
