Afghan students make air purification machine

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Afghan students have made an air purification machine in two months period which has the capacity to purify four cubic meter air in one second.

These two technicians are Syed Zaman Sadaat and Ahmad Zia Jabarkhel who are the students of Nangarhar University’s Education Faculty.

The machine was set for display today (Tuesday) at Kabul University by the Higher Education Ministry’s information technology department and environmental sciences faculty of Kabul.

Sadaat to reporters the machine was made in two months period and it cost 300,000 afs which was provided to him by the well-off Afghans to him.

He said he made it in Nangarhar and then brought it to Kabul which will be set in vulnerable areas of the cities for purify polluted air.

This air purifier model has a cubic rectangular shape, which is made of iron plate with a thickness of 2 mm.

An iron pipe with a diameter of 4 inches is placed in the filter’s inlet, and its task is to draw air adding that one hundreds pipes with a diameter of 3 and 4 inches are placed in the external part of the machine.

He said according to its structure the machine has the capacity to filter 332,000 cubic meter air in 24 hours and it can cover 320 homes.

He asked the government to support youth with innovative minds and provide them with more financial facilities.
