No one can dictate terms to Afghans: Ex-PM Khan

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan has once again underlined the need for global engagement with interim Afghan government.

The international community should interact with caretaker government in Kabul on issues of common interest, including higher education for girls and jobs for women, he opined.

In a predawn address to a mammoth rally in Lahore, he opined no Western one should either dictate terms to Afghans or try to isolate their long-suffering country.

“Engage them, unfreeze their money, let them have stakes and only then they will listen to any outside force,” remarked Khan, who is also the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief.

He asked the establishment if had a viable plan to steer Pakistan out of the current economic crises. “The sitting rulers don’t have the ability to save the country.”
