2 governors reshuffled, 2 new deputy ministers appointed

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate’s leadership has ordered reshuffling of two governors, as many police provincial police chiefs and the appointment of two deputy ministers and two directors.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Islamic Emirate spokesman, wrote on his Twitter page that the appointments and reshuffle were carried out in compliance with order of the leadership.

He said Qari Bakhtiar, former police chief for northern Kunduz province, has been appointed as the governor of central Maidan Wardak province, replacing Hafiz Muhammad Amin Jan Omari, who took charge as the governor of Ghazni province.

He added that Haji Mullah Abdul Zahir Mudassir has been appointed as the police chief for northern Balkh province, replacing Mullah Matiullah, who took charge as the police chief of Kunduz province.

Mawlawi Abdul Wadud Haqqani, financial and administrative director at the General Directorate of Physical Training and Sports has been appointed as caretaker head of the General Directorate of Physical Training and Sports of Afghanistan.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam, former financial and administrative assistant of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, has been appointed as deputy head of the Environment Protection Agency.

Mawlawi Zar Mohammad has been appointed as deputy minister for financial and administrative affairs at the Ministry of Hajj and Auqaf.

Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, the former governor of Ghazni, has been appointed as the director of the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of the General Administration.
