NEILI (Pajhwok): At least two persons died and a third sustained injuries in two separate traffic accidents in central Daikundi province, an official said on Tuesday.
Ishaq Ali Rashidi, Traffic Department head at the Police Headquarters, said a van veered off the road in Jarf Neili area and overturned, leaving one person dead and another wounded.
The van was carrying furniture of a house, Rashidi said.
He added hours apart another traffic accident occurred in the vicinity of Neili City, in which one person died.
Rashidi said the car was heading from Peshwak area to the provincial capital Neili when the driver lost control of the steering and crashed.
The driver was transferred to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, he said, blaming such accidents on recklessness.
