IEA rejects Russian defence minister’s statement on security threat

KABUL (Pajhwok): The ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ (IEA) has rejected the statement of the Sergei Shoigu, defense minister of the Russian Federation that armed groups from Afghanistan were a major threat to the security of the Central Asian Countries.

Officials of the Russian Government should understand that in the last two years, there had been no threat from Afghanistan to the security of the countries of the region and world; however, the security forces the IEA have been able to defeat the remnants of the ISIS in Afghanistan with full determination, according to a government statement.

IEA, as a responsible government, did not allow anyone to use the soil of Afghanistan against other countries and it expected other countries, especially the regional countries, not to allow those who enter Afghanistan with destructive purposes.

“Regrettably, we must say that recent incidents in Afghanistan have been committed by citizens of some countries in the region, hence, considering the fact, it is important that the concerned governments should fulfill their responsibilities.”

The IEA not only ensured security and stability in Afghanistan after years of war, but also contributed to security and stability in the region with its economy-oriented foreign policy and did not want any security threats to exist.
