JALALBAD (Pajhwok): At least seven people have been injured as a result of a clash between cousins over land ownership in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Abdul Sabor Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash was triggered by a verbal dispute between cousins in the Sandoq area of Spin Ghar district late on Saturday.
He said seven people were injured in the fight. According to Zabuli, security forces rushed to the site and controlled the clash.
The injured were taken to the district clinic, with three seriously wounded individuals referred to the regional hospital in Jalalabad.
Akbar Khan, a resident of the locality, said the land dispute had long existed between the two parties.
