KABUL (Pajhwok: Chinese investors have expressed their interest to invest in solar power generation, construction of highways and mining sector in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said on Sunday.
The ministry wrote on its Twitter page that deputy minister for industry and commerce Maulvi Qudratullah Jamal met with a number of Chinese investors in Kabul yesterday.
The ministry quoted the Chinese investors as saying they wanted to invest in solar power, highways’ construction, mining and different other fields in Afghanistan with the help pf experienced, professional people and advanced technical equipment.
They promised to arrange a visit to Chinese manufacturing plants for a group of Afghan businessmen in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Jamal assured provision of facilities to Chinese investors and asked them to share their investment plans in Afghanistan with the ministry in writing in order to be discussed in the Economic Commission.
