MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Crops, fruits trees and saplings on hundreds of acres land have been eradicated due to heavy overnight rain fall and hail fall in central Kapesa province, an official said on Friday.
Agriculture Director Mawlavi Rohullah Rohani, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Fruit trees, saplings and wheat crops on hundreds of acres land in Kohband district, 750 acres of agriculture land and thirty percent of the total fruit trees and 20 percent of vegetable crops had been destroyed in the Hisa-i-Doem district of Kohistan,” he said.
Crops and orchards in some parts of Hisa-i-Doem district also damaged by the overnight rainfall, he added.
He said a committee had been formed and dispatched to the area to inspect the losses.
