Chinese investors asked to invest in different Afghan sectors

KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy economy minister Latifullah Nazari held second round of talks with Chinese investors and asked them to invest in different Afghanistan’s sectors including mines, railways, roads, agriculture, energy and solar power.

Nazari tweeted he requested Chinese investors to invest in Afghanistan mines, railways, roads, agriculture and energy, especially solar power.

He said improved security in the country and the elimination of corruption were two key factors for attracting foreign investment.

Chinese investors have previously also evinced great interest to invest in Afghanistan.

Islamic Emirate officials have many times stressed they welcome foreign investment.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said China has invested two billion dollars in Afghanistan in the last one and a half years.
