UNOCHA appeals $449m for healthcare services in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) say $449.9 million is required to assist 15.6 million people with essential health care services in Afghanistan this year.

On its twitter handle, UNOCHA wrote: “Multiple shocks are driving #Afghanistan’s health needs. Failure to invest in life-saving health services will lead to increased mortality & morbidity among the most vulnerable.”

The source launched an appeal that $449.9 million was required to assist 15.6 million people with necessary health care services.
