KABUL (Pajhwok): The grand wedding ceremony of 60 young couples was held by a charity organization in Kabul city on Wednesday.

The Imam Ali Charity Organisation organized the ceremony in the Shah Safa Hotel in Kabul’s Dashti-i-Barchi area at the cost of 1.7 million afs.

The organization provided 28,000 afs in cash, household appliances, clothes for bride and groom, Mohammad Naeem Alizada, in-charge of the charity organization, said.

Akbar, the resident of Kabul and one of the grooms said, he was engaged from the past two years but due to economic problems he was unable to organize his wedding ceremony.

“A specially thanks to Imam Ali Foundation who organized the grand wedding ceremony, it is a huge help.”

Razia, one of the brides thanked the charity organization for the wedding event and said it helped them have their wedding ceremony performed.

She said her husband was unable to orgnaise wedding ceremony due to economic problems.
