IEA seeks positive interaction with the world: Kabir

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir says the Islamic Emirate respects the role of the United Nations and seeks a positive interaction with the world.

PM Maulvi Abdul Kabir in a meeting with the UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, said that the caretaker government respected the role of UN and wanted to strengthen relations with the all countries of the world, a statement from Presidential Palace said.

Sinirlioğlu said that he had been tasked of making a report of Afghanistan along with independent assessment by the UN on how relations between Afghanistan and the international community could be strengthened.

He said the war in Afghanistan had ended and the Islamic Emirate was controlling the entire country with peace and stability had been restored.

According to him, the caretaker government had made important progress in the areas of security, anti-corruption and drug eradication, which the international community commends.

He said, Afghanistan became a member of the organization in the second year of its establishment and wants to be a committed and active member of this organization, taking into account its interests in the future.

He said: “The Islamic Emirate wants positive interaction with the world in an atmosphere of mutual respect and it hoped that you will pave the way for interaction.”

Kabir also said that security had been restored in Afghanistan, drug production and smuggling had been stopped, criminal activities, extortion and corruption also prevented and Afghans were living in their country without any fear.

He also reaffirmed that no one would be allowed to use Afghan soil against others.
