SHARAN (Pajhwok): At least two people have been killed and three others wounded in rain-induced flash floods in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Tuesday.
Matiullah Mansour, director of natural disaster management authority, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the floods hit several areas in the province since Monday.
He said two people were killed and three others injured due to floods in Orgon district.
Without providing details, he said that residential houses and farmlands were severely damaged by the floods in Sharan, Yousafkhel, Zarghoon, Taro, Warmami and Niamatabad districts.
