KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani has said the main reason behind the non-recognition of the Islamic Emirate is not accepting the demands of the international community.
Addressing a gathering in southeastern Paktia province, Haqqani said the world was not recognizing their government because they had not accepted its demands.
He said Afghanistan had been in the war for almost half a century, but no one thought of rebuilding it.
He said the whole world came and occupied Afghanistan, waging military, economic and cultural invasions.
“We thank Allah for giving us independence, freedom and honor without anyone’s favor, we won freedom on our own and it brought honor and happiness to all Afghans.”
The Islamic Emirate returned to power in August 2021 after waging insurgency for 20 years, but so far no country has recognized the regime.
