KABUL (Pajhwok): Counter-narcotics police have discovered a drugs producing factory in capital Kabul and security forces have arrested 14 people for selling and buying narcotics in some provinces, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Saturday.
The MoI wrote on its twitter page that police discovered a drug production factory in Kabul and arrested six suspects in connection with it.
Seven people were arrested for selling alcohol in western Herat province and another suspect was detained in Nangarhar province with 550 tablets K.
The ministry said poppy crop on 54 acres of land was eradicated in Khash district of northeastern Badakhshan province.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has banned cultivation, production and smuggling of all kinds of drugs in the country and violators are being dealt with in accordance with the law.
