SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): One person was killed and two others were wounded in a traffic accident on the Shiberghan-Mazar-i-Sharif highway in northern Jawzjan province on Monday.
Police spokesman Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi told Pajhwok Afghan News a corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and flipped over in Kokldash area on Monday afternoon at around 12:30pm.
The driver was killed and two passengers sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were evacuated to the provincial hospital in Shiberghan and their condition was said to be stable, Halimi said.
He blamed the accident on high speed and recklessness driving.
It comes a week after two people were killed and seven others injured after a fielder-type vehicle overturned on the Jawzjan-Faryab highway.
