4 Farah families reconcile, end enmity

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Officials, ulema and tribal elders in western Farah province have helped resolved enmity between four families which resulted in the killing of five people and injured one, according to a statement on Friday.

The long standing enmity between these families was settled and converted into friendship through the mediation of Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajir Farahi, director Information and Cultural Affairs Department, other local officials, ulema and tribal elders during a special meeting in the Department of Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (DPVPV).

PVPV Director Abdul Majeed said the enmity was between Nazar Mohammad, Akhtar Mohammad from Sor Kali area of Farah City and Mohammad Raza and Abdul Qodus from the Barghana village of Bakwa district.

The said the enmity what ended today resulted in the killing of five people and injury to one person.

Information department director hoped that people will support the IEA and would work for the reconstruction and development of the country.

Mawlavi Abdul Sattar, the Sor Kali village representative, said: “We will make sure the keep intact this peace and would not allow anyone to violate it.”

Post IEA regime, efforts to resolve disputes and enmity had been accelerated.
