Clash between 2 families leaves 14 injured in Nangarhar

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Fourteen people have been injured as a result of clash between two families in the Momandara district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.

Police Spokesperson Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash occurred when a verbal dispute between two families on a public partnership project intensified late on Thursday.

He said nine people from one side and five from another side had been injured in the clash.

Zabuli said the injured were first shifted to the local hospital and then to the Jalalabad Zonal Hospital.

A local resident Mohammad Qasim also confirmed to Pajhwok the clash that happened on Thursday. Local residents and security forces managed to control the clash, the source said.
