Over 100 weapons, other military items seized in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 100 light weapons, a number of car jammers, 2,000 armor plates and other military equipment have been seized in Kabul during the past one year, police said on Sunday.

Kabul police headquarters in a statement said 74 people have been arrested in connection with the military equipment.

The weapons and military equipment were seized during intelligence-based operation by anti-terrorism squad in the past one year.

The weapons and explosives include 21 Kalashnikovs, 83 pistols, 15 bombs, 130 rocket shells and firecrackers, 16 mine clearance devices, hundreds of rifles, car jammers, 16 binoculars, 200 rifles, more than 2000 bullets of various weapons, about 2000 armor plates and some other equipment.
