KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting minister of energy and water has discussed the extension of an agreement on power supply and addressing the issues of outages in Herat province with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Mehrabian.
During a telephonic conversation, Mehrabian as I pledged to extend the electricity contract and address related problems in the western province, bordering Iran.
In a statement, MoEW said the two sides also talked about the trip of an Afghan delegation to Iran for talks on dealing with these problems.
Recently, the neighbours are reported to have made progress on the issue of implementing the Helmand water agreement.
