Zadran elected as Kabul moneychangers union president

KABUL (Pajhwok): Obtaining 133 votes, Haji Bahram Khan Zadran was on Thursday elected as president of the Moneychangers Union of Sara-i-Shahzada money market in Kabul.

Two candidates vied for the slot and a total of 240 people voted, with Haji Bahram Khan Zadran emerging victorious with 133 votes in his favor and was elected the head of the money-changers union.

He will hold this position for the next two years.

On the occasion, government officials said freedoms that existed in Islam were not found in any other religion.

The officials also asked the people to use Afghan currency in all their transactions in order to keep the afghani stable and increase its value.
