MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A medicine and medical equipment storage centre has been opened at a cost of 62 million afghani in northern Balkh province, an official said on Saturday.
Najibullah Tawana, director of public health, told Pajhwok Afghan News the storage centre had been constructed with financial support from the Public Health Department and some partners.
He said the building, constructed on 1,400 square meters of land, could store medicine and medical supplies for the northern zone.
In addition to having administrative offices, the centre was also equipped with a firefighting, metal cage, cooling and heating systems, the official concluded.
