KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Health Organisation (WHO) has showed its readiness to dispatch mobile health teams to Afghan refugees’ camps in Pakistan, according to a statement on Friday.
Afghanistan’s Consulate General in Karachi on its Twitter handle wrote that the commitment was made by WHO regional head Dr. Sara Salman during a meeting with Syed Abdul Jabbar Takhari, Afghanistan’s Consulate General in Karachi.
Dr. Salman stressed that WHO was ready to extend its health services to Afghan refugees’ camps in Pakistan and assure that their mobile teams comprised of men and women physicians would visit refugees’ camps.
Takhari hailed WHO’s cooperation and support in the area of public health services.
